Following Celtic's title win (their sixth in a row) we, as usual, are starting to hear people ask the question: would Celtic survive, or perhaps even thrive, in the Premier League? Celtic's current manager, Brendan Rodgers, has recently stated that if Celtic were in the Premier League they, "would be one of the minimum top four, top six clubs in the English Premier League."
After Rodger's comments, many took to Twitter to express their thoughts and feelings on whether or not Celtic would perform well in the Premier League and there were certainly a lot of controversial opinions.
First and foremost I think Celtic would survive in the Premier League - in my mind there's absolutely no doubt that they wouldn't ever be in any kind of relegation scrap. However, I do disagree with Rodgers saying they'd be in the top six. With the current top six including Chelsea, Man City, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United, it's hard to imagine Celtic overtaking any of these teams. They'd most likely be positioned in the top half of the league in a similar position to teams like West Ham, Southampton and Everton.
Anyway, that's just mine and Brendan's opinions. Below you can watch some of the guys on Ball Street have a full discussion about that, and some other football topics too.
