Top 5 best transfers in this season's January window. All of the signings are my own opinions and just my views. These are also in no particular order.
1. Alexis Sanchez
After Alexis Sanchez had been linked to Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and even back to Barcelona, Sanchez eventually made the move to the red half of Manchester for a fee of about £20,000,000 + Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Sanchez had proven himself at North London outfit Arsenal by scoring 60 goals in 3 1/2 seasons and chipping in with 25 assists.
2. Charley Musonda
Yes, yes, okay, this may not have been one of the signings that was spoken about much as it is a loan but is definitely one of those signings to look out for. Musonda is one of the hottest prospects in Europe so him going to Scotland will absolutely put fear into teams like Ross County or Dundee (no disrespect to any of the clubs) as he will bring a flair to the Scottish league that hasn’t been seen since the days of Brian Laudrup or Kenny Dalgleaish. The Belgian winger has made 8 appearances for parent club Chelsea he is, without a doubt, one to look out for.
3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is with no doubt one of footballs best strikers and we all know how much Alexis Sanchez has made an impact on Arsenal but now he is gone people would possibly think that the Gunners would struggle for goals. However, I feel that Aubameyang is a statement from Arsenal by saying they are not mugs - he would partner up with former team mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Özil. The former Dortmund man has already bagged a goal in their 5-1 demolition of Everton.
4. Philippe Coutinho
Barcelona signed Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool for a whopping £140,000,000. Yes, a lot of money but for a lot of talent. Coutinho has turned out to be an absolute bargain at Liverpool has he only cost Brendan Rodgers £8,000,000 from the black and blue Italians Inter Milan. In his successful time in the Merseyside the Brazilian bagged 41 goals and managed to pick up 35 assists.
5. Aymeric Laporte
This one has the making to be one of the best signings of 2018. Aymeric Laporte is a very highly rated Spanish defender that has been linked to Barcelona and other European supergiants but has chosen to go to the Citizens, Manchester City. The Spanish international has made 26 appearances this season and has chipped in with 3 assists. The 23 year old has also bagged just the 1 goal.
